Cornell University's Finance and Administration units are the engine that runs Cornell. The 1,800 employees in the seven divisions are the stewards of Cornell's financial, facilities, information technologies, emergency planning and safety services. Our mission is to direct the critical business and administrative services that support academic programs and the functioning of the university.
Our teams collaborate with Cornell’s faculty, students, administrators and staff, as well as outside consultants and vendors, to fulfill the important academic, research and service missions of the university.
Finance and Administration Units
Audit Office
Reviews university operations, systems, risks, governance, and controls; provides relevant analyses; recommends improvements; promotes ethical behavior and compliance with policies, laws and regulations.

Division of Facilities Services
Provides planning, design, construction, operation and ongoing maintenance of university facilities, including Utilities & Energy Management and Transportation & Mail Services.

Office of University Investments
Manages Cornell's investable assets, with the objective of outperforming a passive benchmark of index investments and preserving the value of the endowment after inflation and spending.

Cornell University Police
Provide a safe and secure campus environment through law enforcement and a wide variety of safety education programs.
Cornell Information Technologies (CIT)
Serves as Cornell's central information technology organization, supporting the business infrastructure, informational software, and instructional and operational needs for video, data and telecommunications.

Division of Financial Affairs
Provides Cornell's central finance management function and includes General Accounting, Bursar, Sponsored Financial Services, Supply Management Services, Cornell Business Services, the University Business Service Center, the Office of the Treasurer and the University Policy Office.

Risk Management and Public Safety
Integrates campus safety and emergency management programs, including emergency planning and recovery, environmental health and safety, environmental compliance and sustainability, risk management and Cornell Police.
